Dr. Geoffrey Gerow grew up in the WNY area and attended Amherst High School.  From there he attended Houghton College graduating with a Bachelor of Science in General Science,  and a minor in Chemistry.  Dr. Gerow then went on to what is now known as National University of Health Sciences graduating with a Doctor of Chiropractic Degree in 1981.  Upon completion, he taught at this institution over an 8 year period in the Clinical Sciences and was a Department Head at the Patient and Research Center.  Dr. Gerow then returned to the Buffalo Area and went into private practice with Dr. Roger Alt, DC located in the Riverside area of Buffalo.   Dr. Gerow  opened East Buffalo Chiropractic on Ferry St. in Buffalo in 1991.  While maintaining a practice, Dr. Gerow became a curriculum consultant for D’Youville College Chiropractic Program in 2000.  In 2004 he became Director of the program and led them through the Council on Chiropractic Education site visit and where the program then became accredited.   Dr. Gerow is a Diplomate of both the American Board of Disability Analysts and the American Board of Chiropractic Orthopedics and has published.

Dr. Gerow wrote an elective rotational course for the University of Buffalo Medical School, entitled “Diagnostic Imaging for the Primary Care Physician” which then went through Curriculum Committee and was passed.  This course is for 3rd and 4th year medical students and is a 4 week program where there is an opportunity to publish.   This course is presented in conjunction with other  Doctors of Chiropractic as well as Medical Radiologists at multiple sites.  A second required course was developed by Dr. Gerow and a Colleague for Family Medicine Residents at the University of Buffalo Medical School and is 2 weeks in length, also dedicated to imaging.   Dr. Gerow is an editor with Medpix for the student program and is a contributor in publication of diagnostic imaging cases.  Dr. Gerow is also affiliated with The First Chiropractic Physicians Association of America since 2015.

Dr. Gerow has been a long standing member of the American Chiropractic Association and  New York State Chiropractic Association.   He has been the President of NYSCA district 17.  He has long been active with the Christian Medical Dental Association.  Dr. Gerow has been active in sports.

Dr. Gerow ‘s extensive background is helpful in the diagnosis and management of injured patients.
